Yesterday "qalampir.uz a critical message appeared on the website titled "outside the XXI century, and the school in Uchtepe is heated by an old electric stove brought from home."
It notes that the heating system has not been working at all at school No. 297 of the Uchepinsky district since the beginning of the autumn-winter season.
The Department of Public Education of the Uchtepa district has studied this situation thoroughly. Secondary School No. 297 was built in 1990, designed for 1,100 students, currently 74 teachers are engaged in teaching 1,141 students.
In 201, 240 million soums were allocated from the local budget for the repair of the heating system, toilets and sewerage, of which 40 million soums were allocated for the repair of toilets and sewerage. 200 million soums were allocated for the repair of heating networks, 167 million soums were spent.
The Ministry of Public Education has fully studied the state of the school and made proposals for the overhaul of the school in 2019 to ensure that young students receive quality education and master modern scientific achievements based on international requirements. On the basis of this proposal, in accordance with the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated August 17, 2019 No. 679 “on measures to improve the activities of secondary schools in Tashkent on the basis of modern requirements”, major repairs are planned at the school.
It was noted that the students of the school will continue their studies at the Tashkent College of Economics and Service, located on the territory, starting from December 4, 2019.
The Ministry of Public Education held a tender for major repairs at the school, the winner of which was LLC “electrical installation company". On December 2, 2019, construction work began at the school.
The Department of Public Education of the Uchtepa district will take control of organizational issues in this direction and provide additional information about the work done.
