The main tasks of the department are:

Participate in ensuring the effective implementation of the tasks and functions assigned to the Ministry;

Cooperation with the sectors of integrated socio-economic development (hereinafter referred to as the sectors of integrated socio-economic development), headed by the heads of the territorial bodies of the Jizzakh region and local governments, the prosecutor's office, the Interior and the State Tax Service;

monitoring and control over compliance with legislation and regulations in the field of general secondary and extracurricular education;

coordination of educational and methodological activities and introduction of information and communication technologies in general secondary and out-of-school educational institutions;

coordinates the activities on rehabilitation and spiritual and moral education of students in specialized educational institutions for children with disabilities;

support of legal entities engaged in the provision of non-governmental educational services and the development of alternative forms of education in general secondary and out-of-school educational institutions;

take practical measures to expand public-private partnerships in the regions;

organization of measures for the introduction of modern security tools and innovative technologies in secondary schools;

assistance in compiling a rating of authorities on issues of support of general education institutions and development of their infrastructure;

to ensure that teachers are not allowed to be involved in various activities not related to their professional activities, to enhance the status and prestige of the teaching profession, to take measures to ensure that teachers' rights and freedoms are not violated, their honor and dignity are not violated;

ensuring the implementation of a unified state policy aimed at the development of the system of general secondary and extracurricular education, improving the skills and professionalism of teachers;

ensuring the introduction of modern advanced forms of teaching, new pedagogical and information and communication technologies, effective forms and methods of education in the educational process;

Educating students in the spirit of national and universal values, humanity and high spirituality, independence in their hearts and minds, devotion to humanistic traditions, deepening the idea of ​​national identity, "mass culture" in the form of "popular culture" implementation of measures aimed at strengthening the immune system;

Full coverage of 9th grade graduates to the next stage of education, ensuring that they continue their education in the 10th grade of general secondary education or in academic lyceums or vocational schools of their choice;

organization of vocational guidance and psychological and pedagogical diagnosis of students, guardianship, protection of the rights and interests of children and adolescents, regular work with them, including socially vulnerable children;

organization of mass involvement of students and youth in regular physical culture and sports;

wide promotion of the city's achievements in the field of education at the national level through conferences, exhibitions and other events;
