Developer of Angry Birds intends to contribute to the development of cooperation in the field of education between Uzbekistan and Finland

One of the founders of Rovio (Finland), the developer of the world famous Angry Birds game, Peter Vesterbacka, intends to promote cooperation in the field of education between Uzbekistan and Finland.

Peter Vesterbacka, who is visiting Uzbekistan, was received by the Minister of Public Education of Uzbekistan Sherzod Shermatov.

During the meeting, Peter Vesterbacka noted that he is now actively involved in educational projects that are being implemented in various countries of the world. The main goal of these projects is to improve the quality of education through the experience of Finland.

Peter Vesterbacka emphasized that education is important for the future of the nation. He added that young people, in addition to a good education, need to instill entrepreneurial skills.

According to Vesterbacka, there are many young people in Uzbekistan and they must create their own product and startups.

The Minister, in turn, spoke about the measures implemented in Uzbekistan to improve the quality of education, as well as projects that are implemented with the participation of foreign partners - IT-nation and English speaking nation. It is also noted that the country launched the One Million Uzbek Coders project to train a million domestic programmers.

During the meeting, the parties discussed possible areas of cooperation between the two countries in the field of education. In particular, the parties intend to cooperate in the field of teacher training and retraining, teacher certification and the improvement of curricula.
