About 850 computer classes delivered to Uzbekistan as part of the Uzbek-Korean project

About 850 computer classes were delivered to Uzbek schools as part of the investment project “Further Development of Information and Communication Technologies in School Education” with the participation of the Economic Development and Cooperation Fund of the Export-Import Bank of Korea.

The project is being implemented in accordance with the decree of the President of Uzbekistan "On measures to implement the investment project" Further development of information and communication technologies in school education "with the participation of the Fund for Economic Development and Cooperation of the Export-Import Bank of Korea."

The total cost of the project is US$51.35 million. The Eximbank of the Republic of Korea provided funds in the amount of US$33 million and the Government of Uzbekistan - US$18.35 million for the purchase of 2859 computer classes in 2766 secondary schools of the country.

KT Corporation (Republic of Korea) became a supplier of equipment following a tender for the supply of educational computer classes.

According to the results of 2019, the Korean company delivered 850 computer classes to Uzbekistan while a plan was 537 computer classes. Work is underway to install computers in schools in various regions of Uzbekistan.

During 2020, KT Corporation will supply the rest of the educational computer classes to Uzbekistan.
